The company said the scooter can be custom-built for business-to-business (B2B) use cases such as hyperlocal food delivery or grocery delivery. The Acer MUVI 125 4G qualifies for central and state-level government subsidies, and comes with swappable batteries, as per a company statement.
“Sustainability and innovation are two important principles that the Acer brand is known for. The Acer MUVI 125 4G represents both and we are excited to see it coming to market in the near future,” Jade Zhou, vice president, global strategic alliances, Acer, said.
The company is entering India’s crowded e-scooter market where it will count startups like Ola Electric and Ather Energy, and legacy companies like Hero Electric and TVS among its rivals. Market leader Ola Electric in August launched two new scooters and announced new electric bikes by the end of 2024, ET had reported.

Ather Energy, another key player in the market, announced earlier this month that it is venturing into Nepal. Recently, the Tiger Global-backed EV startup secured Rs 900 crore in funding from two-wheeler major Hero MotoCorp and Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC, both of which are existing shareholders in Ather. Hero is also Ather’s largest shareholder, with a 34.2% stake prior to the latest investment.
