Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 is official. The Taiwanese tech giant has launched a new 2-in-1 option for students, but till now has not revealed the details in terms of price or availability of the device. The USP of the Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 is its design. Not only does it comes with a detachable keyboard and a flip stand on the back, it also has US military-grade toughness.

The Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 comes with a tough design that the company says has been chosen keeping in mind students. Built to military-grade standards, it’s packed with protective features, including a wrap-around rubber trim, shockproof cover and durable 3D-textured finish, said Asus.
Asus has claimed that it has been through shock test, drop test, port durability test and panel pressure test.
It comes with a free-angle adjustable stand cover and full-sized keyboard with 1.5 mm key travel, plus an ErgoLift design.
The Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 features a stylus that charges when placed in the tab.
In terms of specs, the Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 offers Full HD 10.1-inch multitouch display of WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution with 16:10 aspect ratio.
It is powered by MediaTek Kompanio 500 SoC with Arm Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It has 4G LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB eMMC storage onboard.
Running on Chrome OS, the Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 offers one USB 2.0 Type-C port and one 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack. For audio, it comes with built-in speaker, built-in microphone
with Google Assistant voice-recognition support.
For camera duties, it has a 2MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera.
Backed by a 2-cell Li-ion battery, the Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 has a claimed battery life of 11 hours of battery life on a single charge.
