Samsung has introduced local Indian folk and tribal art to the art store of its lifestyle TV The Frame. This new collection, which part of a growing library of over 1,400 pieces, covers art forms from across the Indian sub-continent reflecting the rich heritage of Indian artisans.
“The art collection has been curated from across the wide expanse of Indian traditional folk and tribal art forms such as the Kalighat Paintings from Bengal; Cheriyal Scroll Paintings of Telangana; Madhubani Paintings from Bihar; Patachitra Paintings of Odisha and Bengal; Bhil art works from Madhya Pradesh; Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan; Baiga art works from Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh; Warli Paintings of Maharashtra; Kerala Mural Paintings; Phad Paintings from Rajasthan; Gond art works from Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chattisgarh and Odisha respectively,” said Samsung in a statement.
Samsung launched The Frame lifestyle TV 2021 edition in June. The 2021 edition of the Frame TV lineup comes in five different sizes and comes with features like motion and light sensor, Quantum 4K processor and built-in support for Alexa dn Bixby.
Price and offers
As mentioned above, the new smart TV comes in five screen models. The 43-inch screen model is priced at Rs 59,990. The 50-inch and 55-inch variants carry a price tag of Rs 74,990 and Rs 89,990, respectively. There is a 65-inch screen size as well that can be purchased at Rs 1,21,990. Similarly, the top-end model comes with a 75-inch display and is priced at Rs 3,64,990 (75-inch).
It will be available on Samsung online store, Samsung shop, Amazon, Flipkart and consumer electronics retail stores across the country. Buyers can get up to 17.5% cashback on the purchase of the TV during the festive season.
Specs
The Frame TV features a QLED dual LED backlight display with 100% colour volume and comes with a customisable frame option. It is powered by Samsung’s own Quantum Processor 4K and runs on Tizen OS. The new line-up comes with recently launched Samsung TV Plus to live stream TV content for free with Samsung’s virtual channels.
The new lineup of Frame smart TV is compatible with Samsung’s Bixby and Amazon Alexa which can be used to change channels, adjust the volume, control playback and more. When not in use, the TV’s screen can be used to showcase artwork and photos with the Art Mode. It is equipped with a multi-view feature that lets one watch two screens at the same time
The new smart TV is equipped with motion and brightness sensors. While the former detects your presence and turns the TV display into artwork automatically, the latter detects ambient light and automatically balances the screen’s brightness and colour tone.
Users can connect the smart TV wirelessly with other smart home devices via the SmartThings App and One Remote Control. Users can stream content from Apple devices with the built-in AirPlay 2.
Samsung has added Indian folk art to the art store. Users can either buy an individual piece of art for Rs 1,199 or subscribe to the full Art Store collection for Rs 299 per month. For the audio output, the Frame comes with SpaceFit Sound and Q-Symphony features for a better surround effect and provides exclusive audio features.
The Frame TV ships with a self-charging remote battery. It is equipped with solar cell technology to charge automatically by indoor lights.
