Infosys announced on Friday that its US unit, Infosys McCamish Systems, was impacted by a cyber security event, resulting in the non-availability of certain applications and systems.
The country’s second-largest software services firm said it is working with a cyber security company to resolve the issue and that it had launched an investigation to identify the potential impact on systems and data.
Infosys McCamish Systems (IMS) is a subsidiary of Infosys BPM Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Infosys Limited).
“Data protection and cybersecurity are of utmost importance to us. We are working with a leading cybersecurity products provider to resolve this at the earliest and have also launched an independent investigation with them to identify potential impact on systems and data,” said Infosys in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges.
