Tipster Ankit (@TechnoAnkit1) tweeted that the Redmi 10 Prime smartphone has received BIS certification in India. This means that Xiaomi might soon launch the smartphone in India. The smartphone was listed with the model number 12061119Bl. The tipster also added that the company might rebrand the Redmi 10 as Redmi 10 Prime in India. The company has launched the Redmi 10 smartphone in China this week.

Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain has also tweeted about the launch of Redmi 10 Prime. Jain has tweeted a bunch of prime numbers. In fact, the Twitter name for Manu Kumar Jain has also been changed to a set of prime numbers. After decoding the tweet a sentence is formed which reads, “grand entry of the superstar Redmi.” This also hints that the company will soon launch a new Redmi smartphone in India.

Redmi 10 Prime expected specifications
Redmi 10 Prime is said to feature a 6.5-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The smartphone display is said to come with a 90Hz refresh rate. The handset is expected to run Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of
MIUI 12.5 on top.
Redmi 10 Prime is said to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM. The handset is said to come in two storage options — 64GB and 128GB.
Redmi 10 Prime is expected to come with a quad-rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor. The front is said to house an 8MP selfie shooter. The device is expected to be backed by a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging support.
